Base repair operations to close 2 state highways in Lower Pottsgrove Township
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that base repair operations are planned on two state highways in Lower Pottsgrove Township under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
• Thursday, April 24, through Monday, April 28, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Bleim Road will be closed weekdays between Pleasantview Road and Route 663 (Charlotte Street). During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Pleasantview Road, Buchert Road, Keim Street, and Route 663 (Charlotte Street).
• Tuesday, April 29, and Wednesday, April 30, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Sanatoga Road will be closed between High Street and Pleasantview Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use High Street and Pleasantview Road.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
