3 St. Aloysius Parish School students named Neumann Scholars
LOWER POTTSGROVE — Saint Aloysius Parish School has announced that three of its 8th-grade students have been selected as Neumann Scholars, a prestigious recognition awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
The Neumann Scholarship, established in 1995 by The Connelly Foundation, is granted to students who meet rigorous academic and standardized testing criteria. This marks a significant accomplishment for the school, which has now celebrated 23 Neumann Scholars since the program’s inception.
To even qualify for consideration is an achievement in itself, and these students’ dedication and hard work have led to them being named among this year’s winners. The students are Eisenhower Au II, Atticus Luna and Joaquin Luna.
“Their success reflects the very best of what Saint Aloysius Parish School represents,” according to a statement from the school.
“Having three winners in one year is a rare and remarkable honor for any Catholic school, and it speaks to the exceptional quality of education and the unwavering support from our faculty, staff, and families,” Principal Anthony Palmieri said in a statement provided to MediaNews Group.
“Over the years, Saint Al’s has epitomized the phrase ‘small but mighty,’ but just as a tiny acorn grows into a mighty oak, Saint Al’s, too, has become a beacon of academic excellence rooted in faith. For our 350 students, Saint Al’s is not just a place where their educational foundation is built upon, rather it is home,” he said.
“The Saint Aloysius community congratulates these outstanding students and their families on this remarkable achievement. Their hard work and dedication continue to uphold the school’s tradition of excellence,” the statement concluded.
