Berks County offices and court system closed Jan. 19 due to storm

Berks County announced Thursday night that all county offices and the court system will be closed Friday.

“The Berks County commissioners and president judge have assessed the pending inclement weather forecast and have decided to close county offices and the county court system on Friday, January 19, 2024,” the statement said. “Employees in departments with 24/7 operations should follow their department’s inclement weather policy. County employees who are currently authorized for telework are required to work to the best extent possible.”
