Blender explosion in Berks gives man chemicals burns
A man suffered injuries after chemicals flew into his eyes and mouth Monday afternoon after a blender exploded in Muhlenberg Township, according to emergency reports.
Initial calls about 1:30 p.m. reported the incident in the 1300 block of Oak Avenue near the Temple section of the township.
The man was mixing chlorine tablets in a blender when it exploded, reports said.
Fire officials advised the occupants to evacuate the structure, ventilated it and performed evaluations.
One person was transported by emergency services for treatment, reports said.
No further information was available Monday evening.
