The following events are planned for the week ahead throughout the region:

• Comedian Nate Bargatze brings his “Be Funny Tour” to Santander Arena, Reading, Friday at 7 p.m. An Old Hickory, Tenn., native, Bargatze followed in the showbiz footsteps of his father, a former clown turned world class magician, whose influence is seen on his 2015 debut Comedy Central special, “Full Time Magic,” and his debut album, “Yelled at by a Clown,” which reached No. 1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts and remained on Billboard’s Top Ten Comedy Charts for weeks. Bargatze’s comedy is both clean and relatable, as evidenced by his 13 appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” In 2021, he released his critically acclaimed second Netflix special, “The Greatest Average American,” which received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album. His latest one-hour special, “Nate Bargatze: Hello World,” holds the record as Amazon’s most-streamed original comedy special in its first 28 days of viewership. • SoulJoel’s Comedy Club inside the Sunnybrook Ballroom, Pottstown, presents Kaneez Surka on Friday at 7 p.m. and Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling on Saturday at 7 p.m. Surka is a producer, actor and comedian who has produced and performed in her Netflix Special, “Ladies Up,” Netflix’s “Comedy Premium League” and Amazon Prime Video’s Improv specials, “Something From Nothing” and “Improv All Stars — Games Night.” Martling is a comedian, radio personality, actor, author and singer-songwriter. For 18 years (1983-2001), he was head writer and a cast member on radio and television’s “The Howard Stern Show.” IKA Collective’s “Joke Man,” a feature-length documentary about Martling’s life and career, was released on July 18. • The Keswick Theatre, Glenside, presents Hollywood Nights — The Bob Seger Experience on Saturday at 8 p.m. The nine-piece band based in New Jersey strives to recreate everything about Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band down to the core. They pride themselves on carrying on the legacy of Seger’s unforgettable high-energy shows, roaring raspy vocals and the groundwork Seger has laid over the past 30 years. • The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks hosts the Motorsports Racecar and Trade Show on Friday and Saturday, and the East Coast Reptile Super Expo and the Philly Vintage Flea Market on Sunday. The racing expo runs from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and features the latest products and technology, appearances by and autograph sessions with drivers, memorabilia and the Ms. Motorsports Pageant. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for ages 6 to 11. The Reptile Expo runs from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday and features vendors from across the country selling quality live reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, food items, supplies, books, cages and related accessories at discounted prices. Admission is $10. The vintage flea market runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and features Philadelphia’s top vintage vendors offering men’s and women’s vintage clothing. • Face 2 Face, a tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel, comes to the Santander Performing Arts Center, Reading, on Saturday at 8 p.m. Featuring David Clark as Billy Joel and Bill Connors as Elton John, this tribute reimagines the two superstars’ Face To Face/Face 2 Face tours of the 1990s and 2000s. The show features hits like “I’m Still Standing,” “Rocket Man,” “Piano Man” and “You May Be Right,” along with some deeper fan performances like “Honky Cat,” “Funeral For A Friend,” “Miami 2017” and “Captain Jack.” Tickets start at $29.50 at santander-arena.com.

• Newtown Theatre presents Bad Animals — The Heart Tribute on Saturday at 3 and 8 p.m. Bad Animals features vocalist Daena D, who delivers a stunningly accurate recreation of Ann Wilson’s soaring vocals, and Gina D, who captures the charismatic guitar and trademark vocals of Nancy Wilson. • Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, West Chester, presents The Breakers’ tribute to Tom Petty on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Back in Black’s tribute to AC/DC on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Roots of Creation’s new Grateful Dub project on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Grateful Dub is a reggae-infused tribute to Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead. • The Reading Wedding Expo will be held Sunday from noon to 3:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in downtown Reading. • Kennett Flash, Kennett Square, presents J.D. Webb & The Good God Damn with special guests Strays & Misfits on Saturday at 8 p.m. J.D. Webb & The Good God Damn are a captivating blend of folk, blues and roots music, characterized by a howling lead vocal, intricate instrumentation (often including violin, guitar, keyboards and percussion), and heartfelt storytelling.
