Construction to limit access to Blue Marsh Lake
Some areas at Blue Marsh Lake will be closed to public access from April 11 to May 18 due to paving and construction work along park roadways, the Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District announced.
Areas to be affected include:
• Visitor Center and Administration Area
• Stilling Basin Access, including the Blue Marsh Lake Trail and Mountain Bike Skills Area
• Dry Brooks Day Use Area, including all facilities within the Day Use Area including the swim beach, pavilions, the Eyes of the Eagle Sensory Trail, and bathroom buildings.
• Blue Marsh Lake Trail between the Dry Brooks Boat Ramp and Water Road. Active trail resurfacing will be occurring from the Stilling Basin to Water Road with recycled millings from the paving projects.
Affected areas will reopen as projects are completed.
Additionally, there will be a temporary closure of the Blue Marsh Lake Trail at the Mount Pleasant Bridge for PennDOT paving operations between April 21 and May 9.
Boat Ramps and other park access areas will not be affected by this closure. Park visitors are asked to not walk into closed areas or trail sections.
