Charles Barkley opening a new steakhouse at Valley Forge Casino

Valley Forge Casino Resort is joining with one of Philadelphia’s favorite personalities to enhance the culinary experience of the region.

The casino and former 76er and TV personality Charles Barkley are getting together to create a unique steakhouse and cigar lounge experience in 2026.

“The Philadelphia area has always felt like home to me, and I’m thrilled to bring something new to a community that’s played such a big part in my life,” said Barkley. “We’re creating a spot that’s fun, comfortable, and full of personality. I want it to be the kind of place where people can unwind, share a great meal and feel that same energy and connection that make this community so special.”

The steakhouse will fuse contemporary elegance with nods to Barkley’s storied career, featuring personal memorabilia and design elements that celebrate his character and deep ties to the greater Philadelphia area.

Next door to the restaurant, the humidor cigar lounge will evoke a luxurious, club-like atmosphere. A walk-in humidor will serve as the visual centerpiece, complemented by private lockers and a bar.

Known as one of the greatest players in NBA history, Barkley first rose to fame as a power forward for the Philadelphia 76ers from 1984 to 1992.

Following his retirement from the NBA in 2000, Barkley embarked on a second career as an NBA analyst, becoming internationally renowned over the past 25 years as a commentator and panelist on “Inside the NBA.”

At Valley Forge, Barkley will play an active role in shaping the restaurant’s menu and overall vision. Boyd Gaming has also entered a national partnership to feature spirits from Redmont Distilling Co., Barkley’s signature liquor brand, across all of its properties.

As part of the collaboration, the casino owners will make an annual contribution to Barkley’s charitable foundation, The Charles Barkley Foundation, dedicated to supporting education and historically Black colleges and universities.

The addition of this steakhouse will mark the next phase in Valley Forge Casino Resort’s multi-year transformation, which includes new dining, entertainment and guest experience upgrades across the property, as well as a modernization of the property’s casino floor.
