Reading to host business opportunity meeting for local vendors

Local business owners will have a chance to learn how to partner with the city of Reading and compete for municipal contracts at an upcoming forum.

The city of Reading will host a Business Opportunity meeting Nov. 13 from noon to 2 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers, 815 Washington St.

The free session will offer information on how businesses can engage with the city, participate in cooperative purchasing programs and navigate the bidding process for city solicitations.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet municipal staff and network with other local business owners while enjoying light refreshments.

The event is open to all area businesses.
