The Fourth Wednesday Readers, Phoenixville Public Library’s in-person book discussion group for adults of all ages, will meet at the Library on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 1 PM. The group will discuss Liz Moore’s novel, “Long Bright River.” Set in Philadelphia, Moore writes a suspense novel about two sisters whose family is rocked by the opioid crisis. one, an addict, goes missing amid a series of mysterious murders. The other, a police officer who patrols the area where the sister goes missing. Free Concert

Phoenixville Public Library presents local artists Carolyn Cott, Ken Meyle, and Bob Martin in concert on Monday, Aug. 28, at 6:45 PM. The trio weaves acoustic string work with harmonies into a distinctive blend of singer-songwriter, folk, and roots music. Ken Meyle, an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, Carolyn Cott, singer-songwriter, and Bob Martin, bassist and guitarist, meld precise and inspired guitar, mandolin, bass, and percussion seamlessly. Individually they’re accomplished musicians; together their talents complement and propel their music to something greater than the sum of its parts. Landlord/Tenant Webinar

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free webinar, “The Basics of Landlord/Tenant Law and Eviction Defense”, on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 7 PM.  Kelly Young, Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, will be the presenter. Learn the basics of landlord/tenant law in Pennsylvania. The presentation will review important landlord/tenant statutes, explain the eviction process, explore viable eviction defenses, discuss the impact of COVID-19 on eviction proceedings, and more. Books on Tap

Books on Tap, Phoenixville Public Library’s book discussion group for 20- and 30-something adults, will meet Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 7 PM, at Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant & Pub, 197 Bridge St., Phoenixville.  The group will discuss Stuart Turton’s novel, “The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.”  Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered at 11:00 p.m.  There are eight days, and eight witnesses for you to inhabit.  We will only let you escape once you tell us the name of the killer.  Understood? Then let’s begin …  Evelyn Hardcastle will die. Every day until Aiden Bishop can identify her killer and break the cycle. But every time the day begins again, Aiden wakes up in the body of a different guest.
