George Washington’s birthday celebrated at Valley Forge National Park

VALLEY FORGE — Families gathered at Valley Forge National Historical Park on Presidents Day to celebrate the 292nd birthday of George Washington.

Children presented handmade cards to Gen. Washington and worked on Continental Army hats while learning more about the hero of the Revolutionary War and the first president of the United States.

Everyone in attendance was treated to cupcakes from the Culinary Arts Institute at Montgomery County Community College.
