Heritage of Green Hills resident marks 100th birthday with dance party
Dorothy “Dolly” Thornburg celebrated her 100th birthday with a live dance band, By … Request, and a buffet filled with her favorite food, sliders.

Thornburg’s son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren kicked off the festivities at the Heritage of Green Hills in Cumru Township with a birthday cake, a champagne toast and several stories from the past century.
State Rep. Mark Gillen was also on hand to read a proclamation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, thanking the new centenarian for her contributions to the community.
Thornburg graduated from Reading High School in 1942.
