Hopewell Furnace hosts talk on coyotes June 9
ELVERSON — In preparation for summer, the Friends of Hopewell Furnace will host Chester County Park Ranger Jay Erb as he discusses the local eastern coyote (Canis latrans) population on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m.
His presentation will highlight the theories around the coyote population’s origin, natural history and biology, interactions with humans, and more. The free program will be held in Hopewell Furnace Visitor Center Theatre, 2 Mark Bird Lane, Elverson.
Erb is a lifelong resident of Chester County and a strong believer in the benefits of our public lands. A Chester County Park Ranger, he serves as a leader of the Iron and Steel Partnership, a volunteer collier at Hopewell Furnace and deputy chair of the North Coventry Township Parks & Recreation Commission.
