Kutztown post office evacuated after gas leak
The Kutztown post office was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a gas leak, according to emergency reports.
Emergency crews responded about 3:30 p.m. to reports of an odor of gas coming from the heater area of the post office at 235 Grimley Street.
A few people said they had headaches, and crews at the scene reported multiple people with physical symptoms.
The building was evacuated shortly after crews arrived.
Crews reported that the situation was resolved about 4:25 p.m., after a heater and propane tank were shut down, and maintenance workers were notified.
