North Coventry to host historic walking tour Aug. 8
NORTH COVENTRY — The township will host a historical walking tour of Coventry Woods as part of Chester County’s Town Tour & Village Walk series on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The walk will take place at the Fernbrook access to Coventry Woods, 1954 St. Peters Road. The final tour starts at 7 p.m.
The free public event will explore topics like the Native American presence in Chester County, charcoal making for the early iron industry, historical elements of the Free Love Valley, Boyer Farm, Camp Adahi, and the Camp Fernbrook periods of Coventry Woods.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking if you plan to attend.
