GasTec, a Bucks County-based provider of propane solutions, recently completed the acquisition of NorthEast Propane in a move the company said “further solidifies” GasTec’s commitment to expanding its services and geographic reach.

The acquisition includes two strategic locations, one in Upper Moreland Township in Montgomery County and the other in Philadelphia. Both locations will play integral roles in GasTec’s continued growth and service offerings, according to a press release.

NorthEast Propane has “extensive contacts and history with contractors and builders,” which GasTec said has positioned the company uniquely in the market.

“This acquisition marks a strategic move by GasTec to leverage NorthEast Propane’s industry connections and expertise for further growth,” the press release stated.

NorthEast Propane’s location at 2805 Terwood Road in Upper Moreland will transition to GasTec’s branding and will serve primarily as a storage depot, optimizing its use for increased operational efficiency.

In the release, GasTec said that while the site is not as critical for customer visits, the company plans to use the location for added benefits.

The second location, 2190 Bridge St. in Philadelphia, will continue to operate under its existing name, serving as a filling station for customers to conveniently refill their propane tanks on site. Significant enhancements to the facility are planned.

“GasTec’s strategic vision for this acquisition is centered on building upon NorthEast Propane’s success, leveraging its established relationships and industry knowledge,” the release stated.

GasTec serves customers in eight Pennsylvania counties, including Berks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery; eight New Jersey counties and New Castle County in Delaware.
