Rhoads Energy rebrands its heating & cooling division

Rhoads Energy this week announced it is renaming its HVAC service group. The new name for the group is Rhoads Air — a name the company said reflects that division’s focus on home comfort and establishes a separate identity for a large and growing team of more than 50 service technicians.

In its Tuesday announcement, the Lancaster-based Rhoads Energy said it determined the Rhoads Air brand would help residential and commercial customers easily distinguish the heating and cooling division from the company’s other lines of business, which include heating oil and propane delivery, natural gas, and fleet fueling, according to a press release.

The rebranding will also help highlight the size and scope of the company’s heating and cooling service operation, according to Michael DeBerdine III, CEO of Rhoads Energy. The HVAC unit operates in Berks, Chester, Montgomery, Lancaster, Lebanon, York, Cumberland, and Dauphin counties.

“It was time for us to showcase our large, incredibly well-trained HVAC team,” DeBerdine said in a statement. “By branding them Rhoads Air, we have given them their own identity and clarified their value to our customer base.”

He noted the new brand reaffirms the link to the Rhoads name — a company that has been in operation for 106 years.

Previously, the HVAC service group had been known as Cool Crew, a name selected in 2022 to gather technicians from multiple affiliate companies under one entity.

Rhoads Air will maintain the same technicians and staff operating from the same local offices, the company said, and will retain the tagline that has defined the division: “Expert Service. Hometown Values.” In the coming weeks, Rhoads Air will launch its own website, www.RhoadsAir.com, and the Rhoads Air brand will appear on service vehicles, uniforms, and company literature, according to the release.

Rhoads Air offers HVAC service and installation — including all types of heating and cooling systems, indoor air quality equipment, water heaters, and more. The Rhoads Air team also offers 24/7 emergency service from factory-trained technicians.
