Schuylkill Canal Association hosts 41st annual Canal Day

MONT CLARE — The Schuylkill Canal Association hosted its 41st annual Canal Day celebration on Sunday at Lock 60 and St. Michael’s Park in Mont Clare, across the river from Phoenixville.
The full day of festivities along the Schuylkill Canal Park included food trucks, live music, a kids’ fishing derby, a petting zoo, face and arm painting, balloon animals, Sly Fox Kan Jam & Beer Sales and the popular Canal Joust competition.

Despite the threat of rain, visitors of all ages still found plenty of ways to enjoy outdoor fun and support Schuylkill Canal Association activities.

The Schuylkill Canal Association is a nonprofit organization that cares for and maintains Lock 60 and Schuylkill Canal Park in Mont Clare and Port Providence.
