Schuylkill River Greenways hosts free outdoor movie night July 24 in Pottstown
POTTSTOWN — Schuylkill River Greenways and its AWE Fellow invite families to attend a free outdoor movie night on Wednesday, July 24, featuring “The Parent Trap.”
The event will start at 8:30 p.m. at Pottstown Riverfront Park. All are welcome to come at 8 p.m. to grab a free snack and drink as well as set up their chairs and blankets before the movie starts.
The Delaware River Watershed Fellowship, AWE, is an organization that allows 23 environmental centers to host fellows for twelve weeks during the summer. This program aims to increase engagement with environmental education programs and inspire nearby communities to protect the Delaware River watershed.
Fellows may engage with visitors to environmental centers, lead research initiatives, work in the center and on the water, or guide a “Mobile Nature Center” to do trail engagement.
The mission of the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area is to connect residents, visitors, and communities to the Schuylkill River and the Schuylkill River Trail by serving as a catalyst for civic engagement and economic development to foster stewardship of the watershed and its heritage.
