Teacher’s mom crochets winter hats for Barth Elementary first graders
POTTSTOWN — Many of us can remember being told when we were younger to make sure to wear a hat when going out in the cold weather.
For Barth Elementary School first graders in Kathy Eagle’s class, that reminder became a lot easier to do thanks to Kathy’s mother, Chris Rhoads. It is a long-standing tradition for Rhoads to crochet winter hats for the students in her daughter’s class.
Rhoads said there is a family atmosphere at Barth Elementary.
“The staff creates a friendly feeling that encourages student success,” she said. “I am happy to play a small role in supporting our school district, staff, students and family.”
