The Mercury’s Sound Off for Friday, Sept. 1
We keep hearing and reading about the teacher shortage in PA, and the whole country really. The government’s solution is to throw money at it, I know teachers (including my daughter-in-law) that money is not the issue it’s the lack of respect, accountability, and the total inability to discipline. Congratulations to CMD for having the nerve to finally say what the real issue is.

Pottstown School District Superintendent Steven Rodrigues has known for years about unruly students riding the bus from the Pottstown Middle School. Bus drivers and aides have repeatedly complained about this issue, with nothing changing. Now because drivers are refusing to do the run, the bus company may discontinue it. This is happening because parents are not doing their job!
How is it that the Biden DOJ is still arresting people who were at the Capitol on Jan. 6 or are still in prison for 2 years, with no speeding trial or due process, but yet Trump is arrested and the trial set right before Super Tuesday, and people say it isn’t election interference? Come on really?

Joe Biden and his administration want to manage every aspect of our lives. He is telling Americans how many beers we can have a week. Just two. I have never drunk alcohol and I don’t think others should use alcohol, but it is ridiculous. The next thing is how many slices of bread I can have or how many Tastykakes I can have a week. This is what tyranny looks like.

What explains a teacher shortage that Democrats seek to address with non-citizens? Simply put, many of the best and brightest will not be a party to a system that abuses children, one afflicted with administrators, unionized educators and Democrat-controlled school boards that have accommodated chaos/violence and invasions of privacy in exchange for federal dollars, the same parties who, unlike private counterparts, largely abandoned students during the pandemic. Our kids deserve so much better.

Childhood vaccine trials are purposely designed to obscure the true incidence of adverse events of the vaccine. Thus, the vaccine is approved and added to the national program. Then when the next generation of vaccine comes along its clinical trial will always compare the new vaccine to the current vaccine and never to a real placebo. Therefore the true rate of adverse events is never discovered by the public.

For those of you thinking about going along with the Oval Office dementia victim’s suggestion and start wearing masks again, just know that you aren’t helping anyone. And you’ll look really stupid.

I hate it when my horoscope starts off, “OK, now don’t freak out, but…”
Bill Wilson
If you are a Democrat or an Independent and watched the Republican debate, you quickly realized that any one of those candidates is far better than the buffoon we have in the White House being propped up by the Democratic Party and the lamestream news media. It’s time to acknowledge the obvious, rid our country of this debilitating climate change agenda and misguided woke ideology, and take back America.

Virology 101: Viruses become more contagious but less lethal with each variant. People are beginning to think for themselves. The fear-mongering tactics hold no power anymore. The CDC and Biden administration can take a seat.

I sat back and enjoyed a nice Bud Light as the crime boss was arrested. What a wonderful country we live in! He walked in as Donald Trump and now he’s inmate P1135809. Some MAGAs will continue to support him but the numbers are shrinking. The mug shot will sell a lot of shirts and coffee mugs but he is still going to prison. Joe Biden for President!
Lefty
If gun control laws are supposed to be so effective, why don’t we have stricter murder control laws?
Boy, those mug tee shirts are great, now they don’t even have to talk to know who is an idiot! Just remember do as I tell you a send your hard-earned money to me a billionaire.

Would there be as much vitriol hurled at the American ladies’ soccer team if they’d won? “… she deliberately missed … to ensure the US would be eliminated ….” Any proof? No, just posture to see your name in Sound Off. “… America-hating social misfits ….” “None loving America would criticize it!” Listened to the far Right lately? The other team played better? “No! We’re America! We must always win!”
Due to mechanical failures, the Hermanville Wind Farm in P.E.I., Canada operates at 40% of capacity. In Scotland, 16,000,000 trees were felled for such a farm. Ignored by the same media that misled about Trump/Russia collusion and a Biden laptop is that the U.K. had its coolest July since 1991 and Las Vegas broke a record for consecutive sub-100 degree days, 290, set in 1964-65. Skepticism of the climate change narrative is warranted.

The Democrats must really think all Americans (not just Democrats) are mindless, easily manipulated morons if they’re going to try and roll out another fake pandemic leading up to the next presidential election and not think that decent people are going to revolt.
Biggly
President Biden claimed that Bidenomics is elevating the middle class. He must have misread his teleprompter again. The correct statement is that Bidenomics is devastating the middle class.
Robert Minninger
When Trump says “The election was stolen,” he is only referring to the election of the president. All the governors and senators and congressmen and judges and even school board members were fairly elected. None of them were protesting the results. How did that happen?
Jay Miller
I’ll tell you why I will never vote for a Democrat. They adopt policies trying to solve one problem but make 10 other problems 10 times worse. They have absolutely no ability to consider the unintended, harmful consequences of their actions. Then, they try to blame others (Republicans) for their failures. It wouldn’t be so bad if only Biden voters suffered. But we all do.
Lumpy
I don’t find it cute or funny when I see “lovers” names carved into a tree trunk, but I do find it odd that so many people carry knives on a date!
