As someone who worked at a major corporation, I saw various layoffs and firings over my career. Especially in the salaried ranks. Not much fun. But it is long past the time for government workers to feel the same pain.

Pennsylvania’s governor is increasing our taxes to cover an additional $1 billion for the “education of our children.” But this is just him paying back the debt he owes PA’s public school unions for bankrolling his race for Pennsylvania governor. ‘Lil Joshy Shapiro is cutting funding to PA’s exceedingly successful private cyber and charter schools — which are not represented by PA’s public school unions. Democrats, public school unions, and teachers hate our children!

ESPN sports analyst Stephen A. Smith says it’s ridiculous that he is being considered for the 2028 Democratic presidential nominee because he is unqualified. But he did have some good advice for his party and their obvious disdain for Elon Musk: “I’m willing to see the results before I engage in condemnation.” Hmmm … that’s the smartest thing we’ve heard out of a Democrat in some time — maybe he should seek the nomination!

In Douglass (Mont.), the township went out and bought an electric vehicle for the police department. Why? All of the township vehicles are gas-powered, and now the township has to install charging stations. Who will be paying for this plus huge electric bills — will they be using taxpayers’ money? How long will the battery last – not as long as a gas engine would? Who’s brainy idea was to buy this electric vehicle?!

Some knucklehead commented in Sound Off that the Federal Reserve nets a 335% ROI on the production of pennies. Low intelligence people don’t understand that there is no ROI on making pennies or any other coin. The Fed doesn’t make a penny with a face value of $0.01 and sell it for $0.0335 each. The cost of producing a penny is a 100% unrecoverable expense.

Jay Miller. Nice try. Just like all of the lamestream media, you print only part of the story. Read it again, and this time, try to pay attention. It states that “illegal” immigrants paid those $27 billion to Social Security and cannot collect benefits. How convenient you left out the key word “Illegal.” Come to America, become a citizen, and you can collect benefits. Otherwise, you’re paying that to live and work here.

Integrity evaporated when “progressive” school boards, about which Friel knows a great deal, prioritized equity over excellence. Unambiguously discriminatory, DEI has not only lowered performance bars but compromised classroom discipline and safety. Little wonder that school districts are having trouble attracting qualified instructors.

You meant to say that DOGE “fired” neighbors who engaged in wholesale theft and fraud, not to mention waste and abuse. If you knew squat about day care, etc., you would be aware, and you actually are, that they are mainly owned and managed by your ilk. They’re just grateful that your crimes have been exposed!

KC says the way federal employees are fired is “unconscionable”? That’s how the world operates today! Almost every employee has access to a terminal and, therefore, data. Would employers give notice knowing that they would have time to cause havoc? Working at a large Telcom, then computer programmers now called coders, 170 programmers showed up for work found all terminals locked and then let go! KC, try thinking!

Just the facts!

It was super terrible. The Oval Office visit between Zalenskyy and the coward-in-chief went bad for the United States. One man is fighting for his country and the other trying to bootlick Putin.
