After finally paying off college loans for my 2 kids as they entered their early 30s, I decided in 2021 that I could retire and did so. Now three years later, my retirement savings are worth 20 percent less than they were when I retired. I had thought that I was basically in good shape for things to come. And hopefully, I will be, as long as we don’t continue with our present leaders in government.

The Associated Press must think they’re doing a great public service by making sure everyone knows the CDC just changed their minds again on COVID protocols. The idiots at the CDC now say those who are China Virus positive no longer have to isolate themselves or wear the progressive’s beloved virtue-signaling face masks. News Flash: Normal people never isolated nor embraced the face diaper, but instead followed real the science all along.

If Norfolk Southern was a good neighbor and really cared about the people they let live on their property illegally they should put the parcel back on the tax rolls and build a shelter instead of letting them live in squalor. The taxes would then help offset the cost to Pottstown taxpayers for all the police and emergency service calls there.

What a great column by Will Wood! He wants more money for teachers to buy tissues, pencils, whiteboard markers, erasers, etc. I agree! In the Boyertown School District, I can see loads of money for those supplies. Instead of buying turf, buy pencils and tissues. It won’t cost nearly as much and will do more for educating our kids than turf ever will.

Pottsgrove Middle School had no classes on Tuesday due to the use of the building to vote. Arrived at 8:45, and the parking lot was full of cars (at least 100 or more). Thought to leave and come back.Decided to go stand in line. Guess what, I was the only person voting at the time. Found out later that Pottsgrove had a staff meeting but voters had to park at the far end of the parking lot. Brains?

If ESPN sportscaster Stephen A. Smith was so well known and so highly compensated, I’m sure he would have been fired for this comment about the bogus Trump court case in New York: “To my liberal friends out there, this case is an abomination. All you’re showing is that you’re scared you can’t beat him on the issues and the merits.” Couldn’t have said it better myself! Unfortunately, most Democrats are not so objective.

The states created the Federal government. The states gave the federal government the power to create and enforce immigration laws. The federal government has said that the border will remain open to let in more people. Therefore, the federal government has not only failed to uphold the laws but deliberately agreed to ignore them. Therefore, the states have the right to take back those powers and enforce them themselves. Biden can pound sand!

Back in 2021 in reference to several people ignoring subpoenas from a congressional committee, Joe Biden said this: “I hope that the committee goes after them and holds them accountable criminally.” So far Joe Biden hasn’t said a word about Merrick Garland ignoring a subpoena of the audio tape of his interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. Obviously a double standard.

A liberal elite neighborhood in Chicago has posted signup sheets asking local residents to volunteer to host illegal migrants that have overrun their city. I think Oprah and the Obamas both have mansions in Chicago. I wonder how many illegals they’ve volunteered to house, feed, educate, and clothe?
