The Mercury’s Sound Off for Thursday, Sept. 7

by for medianews group

I have a solution to the Pottstown school bus problem. Assign each parent a day to be a chaperone on the bus. Let them experience the issues firsthand.

Last year, unidentified parties within the Perkiomen Valley School District, through legal means, succeeded in overturning a 5-4 school board decision to end mask mandates. Unbeknownst to them was that their cure, masking, would prove far worse than the disease in terms of its psychological damage and that on learning. They were possibly misled by Tony Fauci who had an epiphany on masking that was inconsistent with prior views. Hopefully, lessons were learned.

When you consider the pain and misery inflicted upon the American people by the Biden Administration with higher gas prices, higher food prices, unsafe streets, an insecure border, and an unwanted climate agenda being shoved down our throats, we are not that far removed from totalitarian regimes in banana republics. Latest polls show 61% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, yet we keep coming up with money for Ukraine. How about American first…?

It’s nice to see civility and empathy in the political world. Joe Biden has known Mitch McConnell for about 50 years. Joe reached out in regard to Mitch’s latest medical setback the other day. I bet Inmate P1135809 never lifted a finger to see how Mitch was doing. Kudos to Joe Biden for being a good man. Joe Biden for President!

Lefty

Add the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, Dr. John F. Clauser, to the list of scientists who challenge the climate change crisis narrative. In Dr. Clauser’s own words: “The popular narrative about climate change reflects a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people. Misguided climate science has metastasized into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience… In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis.”

M Furlong, if you have been in schools for the last 20 years, you would know that most of the stuff served at lunch is not really meat. Patriot 45, you believe Trump, call it a draw. Dot, really? Lefty, Joe has a tough time getting through a scripted speech. To the unnamed contributor, no, inflation is not under control, oil companies are making record profits driving up the cost of everything.

The Moderate

Responding to MC90210, when your boy Giuliani was asked for evidence of election fraud, his answer was this: ‘We’ve got lots of theories, we just don’t have the evidence,’ Giuliani stated. When Rudy Giuliani was pressed for proof of his claims of election fraud after the 2020 election, Giuliani failed to produce any. This is why Giuliani is a co-conspirator with Trump. Radical Republicans are all talk, never any substance,

Patriot54

Hey Lefty, Miller, Patriot54, and Moderate, if the Biden administration tells you to go back to wearing masks, and knowing all we learned over the past 3 years and now know to be factual about mask ineffectiveness, are you going to willfully comply and wear your virtue signaling face diaper?

Missy Miss

Hannity: “It is sad that Americans now distrust the FBI.” He fails to mention FOX talking heads constantly telling America to distrust the FBI. “We can’t have a two-tiered justice system!” Lock up Biden over unproven allegations, but ignore real evidence, giving Trump a pass. This isn’t schizophrenia or hypocrisy. This is deliberate, premeditated propaganda. Yes, many Democrat politicians decried the results of previous elections. (So did Republicans.) None tried to illegally overturn them.

World leaders trembled when President Trump gave forceful speeches because they knew he was the quintessential “America First” president. They openly snicker when Joe Biden takes the microphone. Hey Biden voters, it’s been nearly 3 years since the Democrats installed their puppet. How’s that Biden vote working out for ya?

Tippy

The Mercury posted an article about Berks County man, James Maryanski, who was charged with felonies for his actions at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. I guess he sprayed the chemical irritant because Federal Agents on site told him to. Or maybe he had the weapon because he was planning a peaceful visit to the Capitol that day? Then again, he could be Antifa. Oh, and Trump actually thought he won the election too.

Smart men don’t tell you how smart they are. Con Men Do. Rich men don’t tell you how rich they are. Con Men Do. Tough men don’t tell you how tough they are. Con Men Do. Honest men don’t tell you how honest they are. Con Men Do. Innocent men don’t tell you how innocent they are. Con Men Do!

Jay Miller

Reasonable Democrats are in shock to see what happened to the party of Grover Cleveland and JFK. Today’s Democrat Party is a cult and Joe Biden just happens to be their current puppet leader, just like religious leader Jim Jones. Biden has also gotten his followers to keep drinking the Kool-Aid. We all know what happened next.

Capt. Dudley Bradstreet

Americans you have been coned by two political parties. Fact

Robt.

About 55 years ago my Sunday School teacher used an illustration that has proven to be true over and over again. That is wanting something is invariably better than getting it. The Democrat party is just beginning to learn that lesson in an avalanche. They desperately wanted that mug shot of Trump. Now Democrats have it and now Trump is going to beat them like a drum with it.

“Dutch”

Ben Franklin once said, I am for helping the poor but my methods differ. The best way to help them is not making them easy in poverty, but to drive them out of it. In my experience I observed the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves and of course, became poorer. And on the reverse, the less provided, the more they did themselves
and became richer.
