You can tell it is an election year. State Rep.Joe Ciresi and State Sen. Tracy Pennycuick show up on a Saturday to help clean up the homeless encampment in Pottstown. All they wanted was their election year photo-op. You have to ask yourself what have they done for the homeless since they have been in office. The answer is nothing — two self-serving politicians.

In 2020, just six states required a six-figure income to buy a typical home. Today, the figure is 22 with the cost of housing having risen 40%. The five states that require the lowest incomes to afford a typical home are all “red” — Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky and two states very much like Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.

I can’t wait until November 5 when the low-IQ radical Republican minority crushes the dementia-loving Democrats and changes the downward trajectory of our once-great nation. Make America Great Again.

Did he, or didn’t he? President Biden insists he didn’t proclaim March 31, 2024 (which happened to be Easter), as the Transgender Day of Visibility; however, there’s an official White House proclamation bearing Biden’s signature that does just that. Like so many other things, I think Joe doesn’t have a clue about what his bumbling administration is doing in his name.

Are you better off today than you were 4 years ago? On April 1, 2020, I flew American Airlines from Florida to Philadelphia. The 737 had 14 people onboard (including the airline crew). Arrived in PHL to a ghost town. Shops were dark and shuttered. The smell of bleach permeated the air. I was thankful to be going home to a quarantined lifestyle. We are better off!

Mr Minninger knows his history. Goldwater supported the Civil Rights Act of 1954 (which was watered down so as to be unenforceable) He was absent for the vote on the 1960 bill but opposed the 1964 bill. (He was not in the Senate for the 1965 Voting Rights Act.) He opposed segregation but believed it should be ended voluntarily. Right or wrong, he had integrity. He would be a RINO to today’s GOP.
