Victim identified in fatal Robeson Township fire
Anthony Kalinoski, 87, was identified as the victim of a fatal fire early Wednesday in Robeson Township, according to state police.
Troopers said an autopsy determined that he died of smoke inhalation.
The fire was reported shortly before 2:15 a.m. Wedneseday in the 300 block of Hanna Kurtz Road.
According to reports from the scene, the first and second floors of the home collapsed into the basement.
Tankers were requested from nearby fire companies to haul additional water to the scene. It took crews more than an hour to extinguish the bulk of the blaze.
According to the state police fire marshal, investigators have spent days at the scene sifting through ash and debris looking for evidence as they try to determine what caused the blaze.
